Internal wall insulation can significantly reduce heat loss in your home, making your home warmer and reducing your bills dramatically. Check out this link, from the Energy Saving Trust:
Roughly 25% of heat is lost through the roof in an uninsulated home. If the roof area is used as a living area, then all areas of the walls and ceilings should be insulated with room in roof insulation.
The most obvious benefit offered by adding loft insulation is the saving on your energy bills. It's estimated that around a quarter of all heat that escapes from a building goes through the roof.
If your home currently has a gas meter but no central heating, then you may qualify for a grant for a full central heating system, including a new boiler & radiators. This will include connecting a gas supply to your property.
Air source heat pumps extract useful heat from outside air. Heat is trasferred into the building to provide hot water & heating. Heat is sent to radiators or underfloor heating and the remainder is stored in a hot water cylinder.
Boiler replacement only available if current boiler is non-condensing (usually pre 2005). Replace your old, inefficient boiler with a new energy efficient one.
Replace your old inneficient electric heating system with a free electric storage heater upgrade.
Solar photovoltaics (PV) can dramatically reduce your electric bill for at least the next 20 years. Solar panels capture the sun's energy and convert it into free electricity to use in your home.
UK homeowners and landlords can receive government funded grants for energy saving home improvements, subject to eligibility.

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is an energy efficient scheme in the UK, created to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency in homes. ECO4 is the fourth and final phase of the scheme. It is due to run from 1st April 2022 and continue until 31st March 2026.

If you receive any of the following benefits, you may be eligible for a home improvement grant under the scheme:
Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
Income-related Employment & Support Allowance
Income Support
Pensions Credit Guarantee Credit
Pensions Credit Savings Credit
Working Tax Credit
Child Tax Credit
Universal Credit
Housing Benefit
Child Benefit (income thresholds may apply)
If you don’t claim any of the benefits above you could also qualify for funding through your council’s ECO4 Flex rules. These rules allow households to apply if they don’t claim benefits and they earn under £31,000 per year, have a health condition made worse by living in a cold home or are vulnerable to the effects of living in a cold home.
In order to apply through ECO4 Flex your council needs to publish their statement of intent. Most aren’t expected to allow applications until late 2022 or early 2023.
Additional qualifying criteria relating to the property and its main heating type may apply. See below, or contact us for details.
Rules Regarding Energy Performance:
As well as being in receipt of one of the benefits listed above, eligibility for the ECO4 scheme is dependent on the energy rating of your home. This rating is shown on the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for your property.
To qualify under ECO4 your property must have an EPC rating of D, E, F or G. Energy companies can only spend 15% of their funding on Band D properties and because of this applications are only being accepted for properties with an E, F or G rating.
If your property has an EPC rating of A-C you do not qualify, as in order to get this rating your property will already be well insulated and adequately heated.
All existing EPCs can be viewed on the government's Energy Performance Certificate register.
If you don’t currently have an EPC a Registered Installer can estimate the rating when you apply and they’ll produce an EPC for you if the application is successful.
If you think you may fit the eligibility criteria or know someone who does, you can enquire by filling in the contact form. We will get back to you soon to confirm eligibility.
We may need to:
1. Share your information with the Energy Saving Trust in order to check if you are eligible for funding.
2. Get in touch with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to confirm that you receive the relevant qualifying benefits
